Submission of Custom Audio for GLINN Gay News Distribution

For a fee of only $20.00 we will include your custom audio as part of our podcast. This will generally make the podcast longer. We usually include one minute approximately of news followed by a 2 or 3 musical selections from a gay/lesbian artist. If you submit custom audio, we can go to two minutes on the news portion, thus your audio needs to be 60 seconds or less.

If you are promoting a musical event, party or a comedian for instance, we can replace our chosen musical selections with music or comedy from your artist. This is certainly the most effective way to make use of our custom audio feature.

If you were promoting your own music/audio podcast or you created your own podcast to promote an event, you can pay the custom audio fee and we will replace our podcast with yours. This is a great way to get distribution for your podcast. Your podcast goes into iTunes automatically as part of our XML feed without you having to do all that work yourself. The music on your podcast should be available for purchase from Amazon.com ideally. All CD's used in our podcasts are featured on the Gay Tunes Studio at www.gaytunes.com, our gay/lesbian front end to Amazon.com. Gaytunes.com, for instance, is promoted in part through 8,000 ad impressions on Google.com per day. Search for "gay music" and there we are!

Needless to say, you must have permission from the artist and publisher to do this and you assume all responsibility. You indemnify GLINN Media Corporation, its parent corporation, and all agents and assigns against any damages for using your submission.

If the audio does not already exist, you can record audio on your computer. We do not provide support for this. You can also create audio on a cassette tape recorder and send us the cassette. If the audio already exists you can file attach it to an email message and mail it to us. You can also FTP it directly to our server. (Ask for instructions.) You should only send us the audio you actually want us to use. We will not go searching through a long file or tape looking for what you describe.

Got a lesbian oriented event? We ask because our podcasts are recorded in a male voice. If you would like it recorded in a woman's voice instead to be more attractive to your audience, we can do that as the custom audio. You do not get to provide custom audio content unless you pay for two subscriptions for custom audio. Otherwise it is one or the other.

The audio files we produce and distribute are in mp3 format. The original audio is recorded as a WAV file. Please do not send mp3 format files as they are highly compressed and can't be edited. All submitted sound files in computer format need to be in the original wav format.

Are you an artist?

Want us to use your music in our podcasts. Send us a CD to the above address. Include a letter authorizing us to use your music in our podcasts. You may specify what songs you would like us to use. Like a radio station, we want to play the entire song and would like to play 2 or 3 selections.

Be sure to include some bio information and where your CD can be purchased. Let us know if it can be purchased on Amazon too. If it is available on Amazon, you can also email us photographs and other materials we will use on a custom web page we will build to promote your music at GayTunes.com.
