GlobalGayz.com Launches Enhanced New Site

The site now makes it easier to access its content: researched Stories; current and archived News & Reports; extensive Photo Galleries; Worldwide Events, as well as countless links to people, places and ideas.

Readers can obtain specific LGBT in-depth information on far off destinations and issues via the single GlobalGayz portal. Although the site offers some links to popular venues such as bars, restaurants, clubs, lodgings and focus groups, the site goes beyond these entertainments to offer relevant information about LGBT culture, history, religion, legal issues, archived and current news, political commentaries, health reports, relevant books and LGBT writers.

GlobalGayz is not just a travel and destination site; it’s about discovering more deeply the LGBT world that has exponentially expanded since the Internet opened once-closed windows and doors on formerly remote and isolated countries, organizations and individuals—most significantly in the gay Muslim world.

LGBT people are no longer a hidden community. Computers reach into the far corners of Bhutan and Iceland. From there gay people can now upload information, events and updates to discover what is going on in our community both at home and abroad. GlobalGayz is committed to expanding the knowledge and unity of LGBT citizens worldwide. As we move into the exciting future we intend to present additional relevant lifestyle issues through interactive blogs, BB’s and live chat.

Currently GlobalGayz also offers one-to-one assistance and advice, via prompt e-mail messages, on a wide range of personal, social and travel issues. The owner is a licensed psychologist as well as a much-traveled adventurer to all continents. Based on this as well as in-person interviews with international LGBT people and extended cultural research, he offers—so he hopes—modest and useful advice on such issues as cross-cultural relationships, immigration, parenting, family situations, sexual matters and inter-generational dating, and more. (No, GlobalGayz is not a dating or matchmaking site despite countless inquiries to find Mr/Ms Right.)

With our new format, augmented content and extended search functions for virtually every country on the planet, GlobalGayz is nevertheless committed to serving individual and inter-personal needs of LGBT thoughtful travelers and earnest researchers, as well as native LGBT citizens of these countries.

Serving means supporting; our new for-profit commercial status allows us to fulfill our mission to donate a major portion of our proceeds and profits to small LGBT human rights and health organizations working for equality and justice. Many of these are located in developing countries where such work faces daunting uphill struggles against highly homophobic societies, governments and religious systems.

The world is becoming a better place due to the heroic efforts of these small under-funded groups and determined activists. GlobalGayz applauds and supports them.
